Let this sink in, what if I told you you were buying the incorrect footwear for your feet for running?
Now here’s the link for You - Click Here
9 out of 10 people have no idea what trainers to buy the usual reasons being;
“oh they look soo cool”, “I saw so and so wearing them on instagram”, “I only ever buy this brand”.
We’ve all done this and it’s about time we invest in our footwear just as much as our training needs.
We won’t be able to train if we don’t look after our feet.
Recently i’ve been having issues with my feet in particularly after my ankle injury which stopped me from running let alone actually walk properly for at least 2 months.
I had to do something about this, so I went in last Friday to my local running specialists the thejogshop and saw Tony who I know is extremely knowledgeable.
I explained to him I needed to invest in my feet and in particular reduce the risk of injury reoccurring.
Tony walked me through a process to assess if I had any imbalances post my rehab programme.
On review he advised there were a couple of things I needed to be mindful of.
Tony was able to select the right shoe for me to achieve the following:
Increase stability of the heel whilst running/walking.
Reduce the risk of falling arches whilst under load.
We selected that ON runnings cloud flyer shoe were the best fit for me.
The moral of this story is,
“the personal investment and time it takes to speak to a specialist will pay dividends in the long run”.
