ABOUT ME.

An online fitness community for people who have had a stroke or brain injury. 

 

In acute settings we are given physio, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy. I had that all for three months, but when you are discharged there feels like a gap. A gap between going to physio and being able to go for regular exercise like before the stroke. I would like to fill that gap for you, and support your ability to exercise.

 I created Strength Connection Performance with the core focus on enhancing Strength and Conditioning protocols to ensure players get ahead of their competition, for me my passion has always been Rugby since I first started walking and you'll soon see why.

My Story

If I could explain my journey in a short sentence, it would be an exciting, challenging, and emotional rollercoaster, but one I loved every minute of.

From the age of 5 I played rugby. I have specialised in sports-specific training with a core emphasis on Strength, Speed, and Athletic Development for Rugby which for me is my key strength.I developed an online coaching programme, supported by the tried and tested application of research-based methods.  I understood the WHY’s in Rugby, equipped with an extensive armoury of how to overcome any hurdle in front of us to achieve the results people wanted!

But now I have had a stroke I am turning my expertise and knowledge to develop a programme for people like me. A programme that meets the gap between physio and easily accessing regular exercise. 

​

In collaboration with physio or once you are discharged from their care, we can build a programme suitable for your needs, and help you improve your fitness once again. 

​

I believe that you have to understand who you are as a person before you can educate others along the long winding road to success.

​

​There's always going to be bumps on the road but we will create a realistic plan to overcome these along the way.  I aim to inspire you, equip you with knowledge and most of all have fun in the process.
