"Maximizing Your Time: Effective Strategies for Learning and Growth"

Updated: Mar 28

Ask yourself this question, "Have I Done Anything To Upskill Recently??"

Well you're probably wondering why I've asked this.

We have nothing but time on our hands right now. is my answer.

I find myself with far more spare time and sometimes it’s hard to know what to do.

It's sunny outside and it's perfectly normal to get distracted by relaxing in the sun and letting the time pass you by.

What I have realised is that it’s the perfect opportunity to up-skill with no obstacles in the way from stopping this happening. I find this exciting but know that it won’t be without its challenges but be so worth it when they are completed.

Fast forward from January - May, I've completed 5 courses and now I'm looking for something else to keep me mentally stimulated.

So here's the bad part of that, you can get lost in doing so much that time escapes you in a blink of an eye. Having strategies in place to help you overcome this also will make your life ten times easier and the journey much more enjoyable.

WHAT CAN I DO?

Here’s a list of 5 things that you can do to educate yourself and others around you:

Pick up a book

Reading can feel like a chore but can be both educational and an escape from your reality which is why it can REDUCE STRESS!

Listen to podcasts

Listening to people who inspire you is easier than ever before so the next time you’re out and about, put your headphones in and listen to your hearts content.

If you’re not sure where to start, why not give my podcast a go.

Optimise your training literacy

Understanding the basics of exercise and performing routines properly can sometimes be a daunting prospect. There’s a mountain of information available to us right now. Take a look at my Instagram page for some inspiration:

Create a pathway for success

What I mean by this is to create a new goal and put a strategic plan in place to get to it. Whether there are intrinsic or extrinsic motivators, be mindful in creating your strategy but remember it’s all part of the journey. Use the S.M.A.R.T principles to achieve this.

Work on CPD

Continual Professional Development covers many areas; a core focus for you should be in line with your work and what you’re trying to up-skill as there’s little point in educating yourself in areas you have no interest in practically applying.

I myself have used a variety of resources that have helped me, some links are below;
